Two things really....The culture thats native to the artform and a childhood spent almost free range either in the woods or inside the aisles of vhs for rent at my grandmother's small rural store.

Depending on the genre.. either fight flight or trickery..I like to think I'm capable resourceful and clever enough to pull through..but there's a saying in maine.."it's hard telling not knowing"

Keep the fires burning through the long winters, buy enough rue morgue subscriptions to wall paper a house..and give back to the culture I love by helping out some of the local for charity haunted attractions.
