Morgan elyse battaglia

I love everything horror-my room is just horror memorabilia (posters, blankets, stuffed killers), and I guessed the sleep away camp twist

What draws you to the darkness?

I’ve always felt a connection to the strange and unusual. For one, my grandma always refers to me as brujita, meaning little witch. Secondly, I was always the weird kid, and I found I could escape into darkness and horror movies. I could bask in the adrenaline of not knowing who was behind me while the music builds instead of a school bully. I love wearing all black, exploring the classic gothic novels, and explaining why Billy Loomis actually was the perfect boyfriend (for me, not Sydney).

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

I’ve read it and seen it all. If I don’t guess a twist, I’m shocked and impressed with the writers. Not to toot my own horn, but I’m smart, and I’m aware and nothing goes unnoticed. I know how to fight and defend myself, and I grew up doing archery. On a different note, I think im also the right amount of creepy and kooky to fit in with the archetypes and tropes of the genre. And I like to think I’d be too memorable a character to be killed off - the fans would be sad. #justicefordewey!

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

To risk sounding cliche, 13 is my lucky number. As for the money, I would divvy it up and give some to my grandma to help relieve some worries, along with my mom to thank her for all she’s done for me. I’d donate to domestic violence charities as it’s a cause close to my heart (as well as something explored in many horror stories). With what I have left, I’d take my best friend who also loves horror to Salem or another haunted location to enjoy a little vacation.
