Rozalyn Thays

I grew up on horror media, and am an adoring fan of all things creepy. My parents raised me on Scream, Friday, Nightmare, and Halloween!

What draws you to the darkness?

I have adored the dark and creepy since I was a little girl, and as I have gotten older, I only find myself more in love with the genre. From sympathetic villains to strong final girls and guys, there is someone in the horror genre for EVERYONE to root for. So much can be expressed through fear, and the broad strokes of a horror trope are such a brilliant and timeless way to explore emotion, from grief to loneliness to anything and everything under the sun (or moon!).

Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.

I like to think that I would totally survive, as an absolute final girl superfan. But if Laurie and Sidney have taught me anything, it is that they will ALWAYS come back. (And also you ALWAYS double tap!!)

What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?

I would use those winnings to finally attend college. I have wanted to go to nursing school since I was a kid, and due to financial strain, I have not yet been able to achieve that dream. This would help make it all possible. As much as the gory kills on the silver screen are awe inspiring, I really would love to help people survive to the end of this horror flick!
