I run an independent horror movie review website, FilthyHorrors.com and try to spread positivity in the community through my art and writing

What draws you to the darkness?
I was a latchkey kid, undiagnosed bipolar, and I never really fit in. My parents didn’t want me and my teachers less so. They don’t make movies about sickly kids like me. So, I found comfort in the dark alongside Karloff and Lugosi. I marched alongside the Dog Soldiers and The Monster Squad. I found my place in this world through my heroes Clive Barker and John Carpenter.
Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie.
I wasn’t supposed to make it this far. At the age of 16, I contracted a degenerative brain condition and doctors said I wouldn’t make it to 30. I beat their prognosis by eight years so far. I may be in constant pain, and lost most of my hearing—but I’m still standing. Ps. I’m secretly the killer.
What would you do with the unlucky $13,000?
Pay medical bills for my upcoming surgery.
